D.  by clearing up relationships with others (Heb 12:14-15).

2.  Share the responsibility of the church

A. by praying for its growth (I Thess 1:2)
B. by inviting the unchurched to attend (Luke 14:23, Matt 28:19),

D. by participating in ministry in the church (I Pet 4:10-11).

Benefits of Membership in New Covenant Church include:

1.  Membership helps identify a person as a genuine believer (Eph 2:19, Rom 12:15).

2.  It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage a person in his walk with God
(Gal 6:1-2, Heb 10:24-25).

3.  It gives a person a place to discover and use his spiritual gifts in ministry (I Cor 12:4 & 27).

4.  It places a person under the spiritual protection of Godly leaders (Heb 13:17, Acts 20:28-29).

5.  It gives a person the accountability needed to grow (Eph 5:21, Heb 3:13 & 13:7).

6.  It provides an antidote to the lack of commitment in our society (I John 2:15-16, John 15:5).

7.  It defines who can be counted on (Luke 14:26-33, Luke 16:10-12).

8.  It reminds us that Christ died for His Church and that we belong to Him (Eph 5:25, I Cor 6:19-20).

9.  It enables a person to vote and hold an office or ministry position in this church.
